StoriesForMe is built for kids, by parents. We follow COPPA. We don't make money from your child's data: no ads, no third-party trackers, no data brokers. Here's what that looks like in practice.
What data we collect
- Account: a parent email used for sign-in and support.
- Story inputs: child's first name, age, character preferences, and the challenge or theme you choose for each story.
- Generated stories: stored in your account so you can replay them.
What we do NOT collect
- ✓ No location data.
- ✓ No advertising identifiers, no IDFA tracking.
- ✓ No third-party analytics SDKs that profile your child.
- ✓ No contacts, photos, or microphone access.
How story generation works
When you create a story, the inputs you provide are sent to a third-party large-language-model API to generate the story text and to a text-to-speech provider to produce the audio. Your child's first name and the story prompt are part of that request. We do not include account-identifying information in the request.
Content safety
Every generated story passes through content guardrails before audio is produced. You can review and edit any story before it plays.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual stories from inside the app, or request full account and data deletion by emailing hello@storiesforme.app. We process deletion requests within 30 days.
